These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Terminal Skills — our AI-agent-skills marketplace, open-source skills library, Agent Playground, command-line tool, MCP server, and related interfaces available at terminalskills.io (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by AIEmployees ("AIEmployees", "we", "us", or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, or by creating an account, you ("you", "Customer") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is operated by AIEmployees. AIEmployees is the business name under which an independent entrepreneur operates; it is a sole proprietorship, not an incorporated or registered company, and not a separately registered legal entity. "Terminal Skills" and "AIEmployees" are unregistered trade names, and "Terminal Skills" is an unregistered trademark. Nothing in these Terms asserts any corporate, state, or trademark registration.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Agent Playground. Browsing the public library does not require an account. When you register, you agree to provide an accurate email address, to safeguard your credentials, and to be responsible for all activity under your account. Authentication is by email and password only; keep your password confidential and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the Service.
Terminal Skills provides:
terminal-skills CLI, a public tool that installs skill files into supported AI agents on your own machine from public GitHub content; The Service is a software platform. It is not a means of purchasing or reselling access to any third-party AI provider's API.
You agree to use the Service lawfully and for legitimate purposes; to hold all rights necessary to any Customer Data you submit; not to infringe the rights of others or violate any law; and to comply with the terms of any third-party platform a skill interacts with.
Detailed prohibited conduct is described in our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In summary, you agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate access, and refuse or remove content, for any violation. Skills flagged as suspicious or malicious by our tooling are refused before they run.
Skills published in the public library are released under the Apache License, Version 2.0, unless an individual skill specifies otherwise.
When you contribute a skill, use case, fix, or other content (by pull request or otherwise), you represent that:
We may, at our discretion, accept, modify, decline, or remove contributions to maintain quality and safety. As described in the Privacy Policy, contributions become part of the public Git history and are retained indefinitely.
The Agent Playground uses third-party AI models and is inherently experimental. AI output is probabilistic and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsafe. You must review any code, command, skill, or other output an AI agent produces before relying on it or executing it, especially in a production environment. We do not guarantee any particular result, and agent behavior depends on third-party services we do not control. Do not submit secrets, credentials, or sensitive personal data into task prompts or uploaded files.
Programmatic access (CLI, MCP server, and API) is provided for legitimate use of the Service. Where such access is account-scoped, it is intended solely for automating your own workflows and is subject to Section 7. You must not share, pool, or re-expose your access. We may rate-limit, restrict, or disable any tool or endpoint at our discretion.
You retain ownership of your Customer Data. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display your Customer Data solely to operate and provide the Service — including transmitting task prompts and uploaded files to our AI sub-processor to perform the tasks you request. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. Where we process personal data on your behalf as a processor, our Data Processing Addendum applies.
AIEmployees and its licensors own the Service, including its software, website design, copy, and non-skill code, except for Skills, which are governed by their own open-source licenses. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without obligation to you.
Skills frequently invoke third-party services (cloud platforms, APIs, and other tools). You are responsible for your own use of those services and for complying with their respective terms. We do not endorse or take responsibility for any third-party platform referenced from or invoked by a skill.
We may offer features identified as beta, preview, or experimental. These are provided "as is", may change or be withdrawn at any time, and are excluded from any warranties.
We do not guarantee any level of uptime unless separately agreed in writing. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, and will use reasonable efforts to communicate material changes.
THE SERVICE, THE SKILLS, AND ALL AI OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT ANY RESULT OR THE ACCURACY OF ANY AI-GENERATED OR THIRD-PARTY DATA. AI AGENT BEHAVIOR IS INHERENTLY PROBABILISTIC, AND YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING ANY CODE, COMMAND, OR INSTRUCTION PRODUCED BY AN AI AGENT BEFORE EXECUTING IT.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AIEMPLOYEES AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND EMPLOYEES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY SKILL OBTAINED THROUGH IT. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. IF YOU HAVE PAID US NOTHING, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL BE ZERO DOLLARS ($0).
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AIEmployees and its affiliates, officers, and employees from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your Customer Data, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of any third party.
These Terms apply while you use the Service. Either party may terminate at any time; you may stop using the Service and, where available, request account closure. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms or where your activity creates risk. On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — survive termination. The open-source library remains available under its license regardless of any individual user's access.
Self-service account deletion is not yet available in the product. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at support@terminalskills.io or through our contact page, and we will honor valid requests subject to limited retention required by law or for legitimate business records (such as billing records). Cancelling a Pro subscription through the Stripe billing portal downgrades you to the Free plan but does not by itself delete your account or data.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be accompanied by a revised "Last updated" date and reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration seated in the State of Texas, or, at either party's election for qualifying claims, in the state or federal courts located in Texas. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court for disputes within its jurisdiction. You and AIEmployees waive any right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action.
You consent to receive communications from us electronically. We may send notices to the email associated with your account, and such notices are deemed received when sent. Notices to us should be sent to support@terminalskills.io (subject "Attn: Legal").
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AIEmployees regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@terminalskills.io (subject "Attn: Legal"), through our contact page, or to AIEmployees at aiemployees.us. See also our Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy, Data Processing Addendum, Acceptable Use Policy, and Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
